Communicating with the Public about ACS Local Section Events Webinar is taking place on Wednesday, September 30, at 2:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time.  Topics to be included are:  Strategies to better communicate with the general public; traditional methods of public relations and social media; and partnering with other organizations.

Instructions to access the webinar are below.  Please remember that you have to access both the audio and webinar portions:

Instructions to join the Audio Portion



Participants calling in for the conference will dial 1-888-206-2266 and when prompted by the automated attendant, enter the Passcode 1001559#.  It is advisable that participants dial in early.  They may start dialing in as early as 15 minutes prior to the start of the conference. Participants will be on music hold until the start of conference.

Instructions for the Webinar Portion


Under the ‘JOIN’ column, enter conference ID:  acsconf (it is case sensitive) and then fill in the additional blanks below and press LOGIN.
If the moderator has not yet arrived to the webinar, you will get a message on your screen stating: “The moderator has not yet arrived. Please stand by.”  Once the moderator opens the webinar your screen will show the presentation.

Once the conference is over, please be sure and hang up your phone and logout of the webinar.
