STEM Journey III 2016: An event for Everyone  When:  Saturday, April 02, 2016 12:00pm-4:00pm Where:  Cape Cod Community College, West Barnstable, MA We want to welcome you to STEM Journey III at Cape Cod Community College on April 2, 2016 from 12 to 4 PM. This is a free K-12 and beyond educational outreach program. We would like this event to stimulate an interest in and possibly a career in science for these K-12 students. Please visit us and bring your children, grandchildren, a student or a friend, if you are able to come. The theme of this event is Transportation-. I was delighted to be the Keynote Speaker at the Women in the Chemical Enterprise  Breakfast at the  American Chemical Society Spring National Meeting in San Diego hosted by the Women Chemists Committee .  My talk was titled "Coupling personal branding and social media to advance your career in the chemical sciences" held on Monday March 14, 2016 from 7:30 AM - 9:00 AM, Hilton San Diego Bayfront, Indigo Ballroom C/G. This was a ticketed event on the WCC program track.

I organized this workshop and panel at the MRS Spring 2016 meeting in Phoenix, AZ: Science communication: How to use social media for connecting with colleagues and the press This workshop aims to help materials researchers understand how to leverage social media as a networking tool as well as a way to promote their work through the press. Social media includes twitter, websites, blogs, LinkedIn, and Facebook.  More details to come.
