New York State has invested in the NYS
Pollution Prevention Institute (NYSP2I) at the Rochester Institute of
Technology to work in collaboration with academia (Clarkson, RPI and University
at Buffalo), industries and communities on the development & implementation
of innovative solutions that create jobs, reduce environmental footprint and
contribute towards a more sustainable New York. NYSP2I has 7 core programs to
carry out this mission including Direct Client Assistance, Applied Research,

life-cycle assessment and Lean, Energy & Environment (LE2) to assist
companies in developing future designs, optimizing manufacturing processes and
reducing manufacturing costs and environmental footprint.
This presentation will focus on NYSP2I's core
industrial programs and associated case studies that describe the
implementation of solutions for industries and communities in NYS.

project that you believe solves problems, has a strong market need, and would
have significant impact, the SBIR program may be your “go-to” funding source.
Merrie London, SBIR manager at Connecticut Innovations, will share insights
into this unique federal program with an emphasis on scope and winning
strategies. She will also provide information on Connecticut's matching grant
resources.
