Rochester Local Section Social Media Workshop: Sparkle where you are

The Rochester Local Section of the American Chemical Society had the opportunity to experience a pilot 'Sparkle where you are' highly customized program organized by the ACS Office of Pubic
Affairs. We were hosted by Nazareth College, home of most of the Rochester Local Section meetings. I have trained two Sparkle classes at the ACS Headquarters in Washington D.C. in 2011 and 2013 and was chosen for this project because I am the  Technology Subcommittee Chair of the ACS Committee on Public Relations and Communications. My presentation focused on how local sections can leverage Facebook and Linked-In to engage members and the public at their events.
Social Media Workshop Presenters: L to R: Jennifer Maclachlan, CPRC and NESACS, Darcy Gentleman, ACS OPA, Nancy Blount, ACS OPA and Chris McCarthy, ACS OPA
