    Description

At PITTCON 2020 in Chicago, IL we discussed "Analysis of Medical Cannabis Terpenes by GC-PID" and have spent a significant amount of lab time optimizing the gas chromatography (GC) by photoionization detector (PID) method. This optimized method includes improved chromatography (improved low dead volume PID, peak resolution and comparative analysis of carrier gases), the addition of proportional valves for the management of flow control and makeup gas, evaluation of methods for sample handling: Headspace, dilution, and, direct injection, and the development of a terpene profile library.
